Tsolmon Dambiibaljir Qualifies for the Asian Bronze Medal in Para Fencing

Ulaanbaatar, April 24, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The Asian Qualifying Competition for Para Fencing “Paris-2024” Summer Paralympic is being held in Thailand.
Under the guidance of coaches M. Munkhtulga and B. Gerelmaa, four male and three female athletes from Mongolia competed in the Competition, with Tsolmon Dambiibaljir winning the bronze medal match against a competitor from Hong Kong (13:10) in the women’s category.
This achievement marks as the first medal in the history of Mongolian para fencing. She will soon compete for the silver medal against Thailand’s legendary athlete, a Paralympian, World Championship, and Asian Championship gold medalist, Saysunee Jana. D. Tsolmon was the first Mongolian athlete to claim a win at the Asian Summer Paralympics held in Hangzhou, China, last year and has been training in fencing for the fifth year.
