The Speaker of Parliament of Mongolia Mr Z.Enkhbold is visiting Japan from the 1st to the 3d of June. During the visit, the sides have agreed on starting some cooperation programmes. In particular, Mongolia and Japan have agreed to export Mongolian work force to Japan and to involve them in vocational trainings. At the moment more than 1 500 citizens of Mongolia are working in Japan.

Moreover, with an aim to assist in effective consumption of coal in Mongolia, the two sides will share their experiences in matters related to introducing clean coal technologies, support joint research and implement projects on coal gasification technology and semi-coke briquette production. The two sides are set to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation on the abovementioned issues.

Diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan were established in 1972. But the foundations for inter-parliamentary cooperation were laid later in 1974.
