Mongolia, Lithuania Hold Political Consultations in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar, December 12, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Seventh Political Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania were held in Ulaanbaatar on December 10, 2025.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on their political, social, economic, and foreign policy priorities and discussed ways to expand Mongolia-Lithuania relations and cooperation. They highlighted opportunities to deepen economic cooperation, particularly in international freight transport and logistics, and to broaden collaboration in education, culture, and agriculture.
The sides also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation within the United Nations and other international organizations and to accelerating negotiations on bilateral documents aimed at creating a favorable legal environment for expanding relations. The consultations were chaired by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Munkhtushig Lhanaajav and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Vidmantas Verbickas, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
