Over 150 Companies Participate in Mongolia–Kyrgyzstan Business Forum

Bishkek, July 23, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The State Visit of President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa to the Kyrgyz Republic is ongoing.
As part of the visit, the Mongolia–Kyrgyzstan Business Forum was held with participation of government agencies, business representatives, and investors from both countries.
Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia and Chair of the Mongolian side of the Mongolia–Kyrgyzstan Intergovernmental Commission Amarsaikhan Sainbuyan, and Deputy Chair of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov opened the forum with remarks.
Deputy Prime Minister Amarsaikhan Sainbuyan emphasized that reciprocal visits of the Heads of State are elevating bilateral relations to a new level, expanding trade and economic cooperation, and strengthening friendship between the peoples of both nations.
Participants noted that the forum will serve as a major impetus for advancing economic ties, aligning state and private sectors, responding to market demands, and achieving tangible results through technology-driven cooperation.
Key areas of future cooperation include:
• Establishing joint facilities for processing agricultural products such as meat, wool, cashmere, leather, and hides for export to international markets;
• Deepening partnerships in transport, logistics, tourism, education, science, and advanced technologies;
• Expanding supply in fruits and vegetables and expertise exchange;
• Creating a favorable investment environment with stable and transparent business conditions.
Within the framework of the “Billions of Trees” and “Food Supply and Security” National Movements, initiated by President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, the sides agreed to ensure stable food supply chains and broaden collaboration.
More than 150 companies from both countries representing information technology, energy, mining, logistics, education, banking, finance, agriculture, trade, food, and tourism participated in the forum, establishing contacts and signing cooperation agreements.
During the forum, the Mongolia–Kyrgyzstan Business Council was established to support bilateral business ties, promote joint projects, and expand economic cooperation.
Kyrgyzstan’s economy is led by agriculture, mining, light and food industries, energy, and textiles, with a foreign trade volume of USD 16 billion. The country primarily exports gold, agricultural raw materials, iron, glass, coal, and cement, while importing passenger vehicles, petroleum, natural gas, equipment, and chemical products.
