Foreign Nationals Invited to Take Part in the “Mongolian Calligrapher – 2023” Contest

Ulaanbaatar, October 18, 2023 /MONTSAME/. “Mongolian Calligrapher” National Contest, organized by “Humuun
Bichig” newspaper of MONTSAME Mongolian National News Agency has been expanded to an International
Contest.
With the objective of celebrating the most exceptional and
dedicated calligraphers, both from Mongolia and around the world, and
showcasing their talents to a global audience, MONTSAME Agency is delighted to announce
the 27th annual Contest "Mongolian Calligrapher – 2023".
Traditionally featuring seven distinct categories, this Contest has
now introduced an additional international category for non-resident Mongols and
foreigners, welcoming participants from all corners of the globe who are
proficient in writing in the unique Mongol script.
International entrants can present their beautifully crafted
calligraphy pieces, aligned with the theme of "Peace Policy of Chinggis
Khaan (PAX MONGOLICA)". There are no word limits, and participants are
allowed to employ traditional brush writing.
The results of the Contest will be published in detail in the
first issue of the "Humuun Bichig" newspaper in 2024. Moreover, the
finest calligraphy works will be prominently displayed and promoted through
media. Winners will be announced in January 2024, and the special ceremony of
awards will be attended by the President of Mongolia and other government
dignitaries.
We kindly invite you to submit your original calligraphy work to
the "Humuun Bichig" newspaper, addressed "Mongolian Calligrapher
– 2023." The submission deadline is December 15, 2023.
