High-level advocacy field mission organized in Umnugobi aimag

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. UNFPA, in collaboration with the Government of Mongolia, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the European Union and the UN Special Rapporteur (SR) on Violence Against Women is organizing a high-level advocacy field mission to Umnugobi province from November 30 to December 3, 2021.
The field mission is taking place during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, going from International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on November 25 through Human rights Day on December 10. This mission provides an additional opportunity to reiterate the commitment of UNFPA and development partners in the fight against all forms of violence nationwide.
Activities specifically designed for this campaign will also
be carried out in Umnugobi province during the mission, such as a training on
Bystander to Action Approach, to give the tools to each individual to intervene
and stand up against violence when they witness it, as well as a training on
Prevention of Sexual Abuse and Exploitation to the local authorities.
