COVID-19: 1,321 new cases, 17 deaths reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On October 24, 1,321 new cases have been detected after conducting PCR tests nationwide within the past 24 hours, reported the Ministry of Health. 

 

More specifically, 753 new cases were detected in the capital city, with 568 cases in rural regions. 

 

As of today, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mongolia now stands at 349,509. 


Furthermore, 17 new COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, raising the country’s death toll to 1,587. Currently, 18,786 people are receiving hospital treatment for COVID-19 whilst 50,010 people with mild symptoms of COVID-19 are being isolated at home.

 

Of the total patients currently undergoing treatment at hospitals, there are 8,938 patients in mild, 7,256 in serious, 2,230 in critical, and 362 in very critical condition.
