Confirmed coronavirus cases in Mongolia reach 191

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At June 5 press briefing of the Ministry of Health on the COVID-19 situation, D.Nyamkhuu, Director of National Center for Communicable Diseases announced that five new coronavirus cases have been confirmed after a total of 715 people were tested for the virus at four laboratories in Ulaanbaatar and Darkhan-Uul aimag on June 4, yesterday.
Four of the new patients are Mongolian students, and one was a freight vehicle driver, who is a Russian national entered Mongolia across the Altanbulag border checkpoint on June 3. All patients had been under mandatory isolation immediately after they arrived in the country and now are being transferred to the NCCD in Ulaanbaatar for treatment.
As of June 5, total confirmed cases of COVID-19 reached 191, all detected from overseas returnees who were under isolation. And 70 of them have already recovered now and 121 people are receiving COVID-19 treatment at the NCCD.
Also in the past 24 hours, 14 randomly chosen people were tested for coronavirus at the National Center for Maternal and Child Health of Mongolia and General Clinic of Sukhbaatar District in Ulaanbaatar and Uvs and Sukhbaatar aimags and all were tested negative.
