Mongolia Maritime Administration and Korea Shipowners' Association Sign Memorandum of Understanding

Ulaanbaatar, June 5, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Mongolia Maritime Administration and the Korea Shipowners' Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation on June 4, 2025.

 

Under the Memorandum of Understanding, the two sides will cooperate in expanding activities of the maritime sector of Mongolia, improving the quality of ship registration, strengthening maritime transport policy and development, as well as will exchange information.

 

The Korea Shipowners' Association is a major organization of owners and operators of vessels engaged in ocean transportation. It has 155 member companies, including “HMM” and Korea Shipping Corporation.

 

The Republic of Korea is a major maritime transport country, ranking sixth in fleet assets according to the European Cluster Collaboration Platform, and also sixth in ship-owning according to UN Trade and Development.
