Online meeting held with UN Resident Coordinator in Mongolia

Office B. Batdavaa and corresponding officials held an online meeting with UN
Resident Coordinator in Mongolia Tapan Mishra on February 2.
At the beginning of the meeting, the NSO Chairman B. Batdavaa
thanked the UN agencies in Mongolia for their support and cooperation in the
prevention and control of the COVID-19.
The NSO has been working closely with UN agencies in Mongolia, particularly it has cooperated with the UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF, ILO, and the FAO for successfully implementing major projects, programs, censuses, and surveys, noted Mr. Batdavaa. He also expressed his belief that they would strengthen their cooperation at this difficult time of the pandemic and work together to overcome the challenges.
The UN Resident Coordinator Office in Mongolia is creating the CovidMongolia.mn website to provide timely information on Mongolian socioeconomic indicators during the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on people and businesses. In this regard, Mr. Tapan Mishra expressed a willingness to work together for using the NSO data and calculating the indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals. He also briefed on the UN's efforts to overcome social and economic difficulties and expressed its support and cooperation in all areas.
