SDG-Aligned Budgeting to Transform Employment project implementation discussed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A meeting was held on the SDG-Aligned Budgeting to Transform Employment in Mongolia project to be implemented in 2021-2024 jointly with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with funding support from the European Union.
The project is aimed at improved budget formulation, budget oversight and transparency, employment promotion, and effective application of international labor standards.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection A.Ariunzul, UNDP Resident Representative Elaine Conkievich, Resident Representative of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization Vinod Ahuja and other officials took part in the project meeting.
Minister A.Ariunzaya expressed hope that the project will be of importance in improving employment services in the country.
The meeting discussed how the project implementation will be coordinated and agreed to establish the project implementation committee in the near future.
