Ulaanbaatar-Darkhan main road construction to commence in April

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On March 16, Minister of Road and
Transport Development L.Khaltar met with Mookiah Thiruchelvam, Project
Administration Unit Head, Asian Development Bank (ADB) Mongolia Resident
Mission to exchange views on the progress of ADB loan-funded project ‘Regional
Road Development and Maintenance Project’.
The sides discussed the progress of the development of 204.11
km Ulaanbaatar-Darkhan road and preparations for the road construction, as well
as plans to commence the main road construction in April and complete the road pavement
by July 1, 2021 and the selection of some contractors this week.
They also talked
about establishing an agreement with the contractor of 57 km
Ulaanbaatar-Arvaikheer road repair project and selecting a contractor for
Darkhan-Altanbulag road repair and maintenance project.
