Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At today’s (February 13) press
briefing on the latest COVID-19 situations in Mongolia, it was reported that 46
new cases were detected in Mongolia. Of them, 44 were identified among the
close contacts of previously confirmed cases.
In the scope of the ‘One door-one test’ surveillance testing campaign, a
total of 91 thousand citizens of the capital city were involved in PCR testing
on February 11-12, resulting in a detection of four cases (two on February 11
and another two on February 12).
“In the first two days of the testing taken from indirect contacts, four cases of COVID-19 were detected. Therefore, the infection spread may be considered as
relatively low. This is a result of the community's excellent implementation of
simple infection control rules,” said Ts. Ganzorig, Chairman of Government
Media and Public Relations Office.
