MNT20.2 billion spent from government reserve since the spread of local infections

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. At its regular meeting today, the Cabinet decided to allocate MNT1.7 billion
from the Government's reserve fund to address the pressing issues of civil
servants working in the frontline to combat COVID-19 infection and other
expenses, reported by Deputy Prime Minister and head of the State Emergency
Commission Ya. Sodbaatar.
The money will be spent on the food expenses of people quarantined
at isolation facilities, and accommodation and food supply for staff on duty, as
well as the disbursement of a one-time cash bonus that will be equal to the
minimum wage to 212 community police staff members working at the infection sites.
He said that since the spread of the locally acquired
infections, the Government had allocated MNT20.2 billion from its reserve according
to four resolutions, spending on bonuses
for frontline employees, solving problems in health and special state services,
as well as disinfection.
