Meeting with delegation of Miyakonojo city of Japan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Governor of the Capital City in charge of social development issues Sh.Ankhmaa met with delegates led by Orita Kentaro, Head of the Agricultural Division of Miyakonojo city of Japan, exchanging views on expanding agricultural cooperation between Ulaanbaatar and Miyakonojo cities.
Expressing his gratitude on receiving them, Mr. Orita Kentaro said that they have intention to collaborate in meat and milk production. Miyakonojo is a city where agriculture has been mainly developed and it leads the country with its tea plants and land cultivation. It also exports meat products to foreign countries.
Deputy Governor of the Capital City in charge of social development issues Sh.Ankhmaa said that 20 years have passed since Ulaanbaatar city first built friendly ties with Miyakonojo city in 1999 among other cities of Japan. We are thankful for that bilateral relations and cooperation have been expanding and developing in many fields in this period. Authorities of Ulaanbaatar city will render all-round support in cooperating in directions of export and import. We have a proposal to retrain our farmers in Miyakonojo city and mutually exchange experience, by establishing a memorandum of cooperation in agriculture between the two cities.
In response, Mr. Orita Kentaro voiced that he will work on activities for mutually exchanging experience and conducting practice in specialized organizations for animal husbandry when the city partners with Ulaanbaatar city in agriculture sector.
