Turkish Ambassador celebrates first day of academic year at School named after Ataturk
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Mongolia, Mr Murat Karagoz attended on September 1 the opening ceremony of the new academic year of 2016-2017 at the Fifth School of Ulaanbaatar named after Ataturk.
Present were also, the Minister of Education, Culture, Sciences and Sports, Mr J.Batsuuri, director of the Fifth School, Mr N.Gendensuren and some representatives of the Municipal Department of Education.
In his speech, Ambassador Karagoz highlighted the fact that the Fifth School has been named after Ataturk, the founding father of the Republic of Turkey and a renowned political figure of the 20th century. He also let the gathered know that the school yard has been decorated and landscaped in the scope of project by the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA), which cost USD 640 thousand.
Minister of Education J.Batsuuri extended thanks to the Government of Turkey for making investment to not only the Fifth School, but also the entire educational sector of Mongolia.
