Chestnut Horse Trained by D. Munkhbat Wins National Naadam Soyolon Race

Ulaanbaatar, July 12, 2025 /MONTSAME/. In celebration of the 2234th anniversary of the establishment of Mongolian Statehood, the 819th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, the 114th anniversary of the Restoration of National Freedom and Independence, and the 104th anniversary of the People’s Revolution of Mongolia, the Soyolon (five-year-old horse) race of the National Naadam has been held today.
A total of 195 horses were registered for the Soyolon race. Of these, 128 met the official wither height requirement and proceeded to the starting line. The winning horse was a chestnut Soyolon trained by The State Leading Horse Trainer D. Munkhbat from Myangad soum, Khovd aimag.
The top five finishers are as follows:

Runner-up: A bay Soyolon trained by The State Leading Horse Trainer T. Ikhbayar from Norovlin soum, Khentii aimag

Third place: A dark grey Soyolon trained by The Aimag Renowned Horse Trainer B. Batmagnai from Erdene soum, Govi-Altai aimag

Fourth place: A greyish piebald Soyolon trained by T. Byambajargal from Bayandelger soum, Sukhbaatar aimag

Fifth place: A bay roan Soyolon trained by The Capital City Renowned Horse Trainer B. Bulgadai from Bayandelger soum, Sukhbaatar aimag
