President of Laos Arrives in Mongolia for State Visit

Ulaanbaatar, June 11, 2024 /MONTSAME/. At the invitation of President of Mongolia H.E. Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith, with his spouse Naly Sisoulith, arrived in Mongolia to pay a State Visit on June 11, 2024.
Head of the Office of the President of Mongolia Sodbaatar Yangug, Deputy Foreign Minister of Mongolia Amartuvshin Gombosuren, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Byambasuren Jamsran, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Mongolia Phengsavanh Keopraseuth greeted President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and the Lao delegation upon their arrival at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport of Mongolia.
It marks the first visit by the Head of State of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Mongolia in 17 years. During the State Visit, the two Heads of State will hold official talks and sign cooperation documents to improve the legal environment for relations between the two countries.
Mongolia and Laos established diplomatic relations in 1962. The Visit is the fourth visit by the President of Laos to Mongolia since 1980.
