COVID-19: 157 new cases reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Health reported that 157 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the past 24 hours. Specifically, 93 cases were reported in Ulaanbaatar city, with 62 cases in rural aimags and two imported cases.
In addition, one COVID-19 related death has been reported, raising the country’s death toll to 1,983. Currently, 1,832 people are receiving hospital treatment for COVID-19 whilst 3,255 people with mild symptoms of COVID-19 are being isolated at home.
As
of today, December 28, the coverage of 1st dose is 69.6 percent (2,265,849) and
2nd dose – 66.5 percent (2,163,214) of the total population. Moreover, 903,102
people (28.0 percent) have received 3rd dose or a booster shot of COVID-19
vaccines nationwide.
