Mongolia reports 349 new cases of COVID-19, seven deaths

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Daily COVID-19 press briefing for today,
May 18, by the Ministry of Health, reported that 349 new coronavirus cases were
detected in the past 24 hours across the country.
In specific, 318 new cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar city,
six were hospital-acquired cases, and 25 cases were detected in rural regions.
As a result, the nationwide infection tally is now 49,524.
In the last 24 hours, 877 patients made recovery, making the
total recoveries 42,721. As of May 18, a total of 3,870 patients are undergoing
treatment at hospitals in Ulaanbaatar city and the rural aimags. Among them,
104 patients are in serious conditions, reports the National Center for
Communicable Diseases (NCCD).
The NCCD also reported seven new COVID-19 related deaths, raising
the country's death toll to 221.
