109 new cases of COVID-19 recorded

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. It was reported during today’s press
briefing of the Ministry of Health that 109 new cases of COVID-19 were detected
after 11,170 tests performed in the past 24 hours nationwide. This is the highest number of cases detected in a single day
since the first domestic coronavirus transmission in the country.
In specific, 96 of the new cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar
city, while seven were registered in Tuv aimag and two in Zavkhan
aimag. 104 out of all cases reported today were close contacts of the
previously confirmed cases and the sources of the other five cases are under
investigation.
Mongolia has so far
recorded 3,481 confirmed cases.
