Virtual exhibit hall opens at History and Ethnographic Museum of Bayankhongor aimag

Bayankhongor /MONTSAME/. The History and Ethnographic Museum of Bayankhongor aimag has begun to offer virtual exhibits to the public with the usage of advanced technology equipment. Alongside the museum of the aimag, the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum, the Fine Arts Zanabazar Museum, and the Erdene Zuu Monastery Museum are the first museums to showcase virtual exhibits in Mongolia.
The museum has nine exhibit halls, each with different types of exhibits and the museum aims to add historic landmarks of Bayankhongor aimag to the virtual exhibits, and promote tourism, noted the executives of the museum.
With the use of virtual reality equipment, visitors will be able to observe the object in its surrounding environment while listening explanations on the exhibit through audio.
