Mongolians in South Korea to receive arthritis treatment free of charge

On August 16, Mongolian Labor and Social Protection Center in the Republic of
Korea established a Memorandum of Cooperation with the BON orthopedics hospital
in the South Korean city of Uijeongbu to safeguard health of Mongolians working
and living in the country. Mongolians working in South Korea encounter high medical cost burden to get medical services
at specialized spine and joint hospitals even when covered by health insurance.
Thus, within
the memorandum, BON hospital will provide spine and joint examination and
treatment, pain relief injections and operations for those covered by medical
insurance free of charge and arthritis examination and treatment, pain relief
shots and operations for those not covered by the insurance with a 20 to 30
percent discount.
