National food producers convene

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The Assembly of Mongolian Food Producers was held yesterday under theme ‘Food Safety and Supply’ at the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI).


During the assembly, participants touched many issues in the sector such as lacking participation of the private sector in food sector, inadequate knowledge of consumers about food products, unfair competitions and the necessity of introducing up-to-date technologies.   


In his presentation ‘Human resources in food sector’, Chairman of Board of Directors of College of Food Technology, State Honored Teacher B.Baramsai underlined that cook and pastry-cook are making up 54 percent of the total students studying at the vocational training centers while the number of students majoring in meat and milk production are low.  


At the forum, private sectors discussed how to collaborate, protect and develop their business environment. It needs to set up a Food Producers’ Chamber with the unified policy, which will be efficient to develop close cooperation with the government, said MNCCI President O.Enkhtuvshin.
