Constructional work of Tavantolgoi-Zuunbayan railway commences

A ceremony to commence construction work of Tavantolgoi-Zuunbayan railroad,
which will be built in accordance with the State Policy on Railway, was held on
May 24 in Budran bagh of Mandakh soum, Dornogobi aimag.
“A total length of Tavantolgoi-Zuunbayan
railway will be 414.6 kilometers and the place we have held the ceremony is at
290th kilometer of the planned road. A blueprint of the first 50 km
of the railway, between this point and Tsogt-Tsetsii soum of Umnugobi aimag, is ready; thus the construction work officially starts from here,”
said B.Tsengel, CEO of Mongolian Railways State-owned Company.
Using 1352 machines and equipment, about 3700 people will work at the railway construction. Soldiers of the military unit No:7781 will execute the construction work, having payment for the work.
