Mongolia-Japan Teaching Hospital to open in the coming month
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Ministry of Health D.Sarangerel received Chief Representative of JICA Mongolia Office Sato Mutsumi to discuss the works to be done by the Mongolian government for the Mongolia-Japan teaching hospital.
Alongside jointly implementing the construction project of the first training hospital in Mongolia with the grant aid from the Government of Japan together with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has also been implementing a project on establishing hospital management and medical services at the teaching hospital since February 2017 .
As of now, the construction work of the hospital has been completed and necessary medical equipment have been purchased. With the completion of the equipment installation in early March, the hospital building will be handed over.
As the aim of the training hospital is to become one of the leading hospitals in Mongolia, equipped with modern advanced technology and good quality services, the Japanese side made a request to the Government of Mongolia and corresponding ministries on several matters, such as health insurance coverage at the training hospital, hospital credentials and prioritizing the employment of doctors and specialists, who received a medical degree in Japan,
