Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The capital city administration is introducing a bus voice announcement system, and installation of the automatic device stands at 90 per cent completion.

On October 11, G.Dorjpalam and Kh.Bulgaa, Deputy Heads of Departments of Transport of the capital city looked over the installation progress. As of today, 950 public transport buses and trolleybuses serve over 800 thousand passengers in 88 routes across the capital city.

The capital city administration decided to introduce the GPS-tracking voice announcement system in response to frequent complaints from bus takers regarding confusion caused by frosty windows in winter.

The measure, co-implemented with Ulaanbaatar Smart Card company, also aims to simplify public transport service for community members with visual impairment. The bus stop announcer system was launched October 10.
