Young People with Disabilities Launch Advocacy Campaign

Ulaanbaatar, June 16, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Young people with disabilities, together with volunteers launched an advocacy touring campaign across Ulaanbaatar, Selenge, Orkhon, and Khuvsgul aimags on June 14, 2025.
The Ministry of Family, Labor, Social Protection, the
General Department of Development of Persons with Disabilities, and the
“Universal Development” NGO are jointly organizing the “Mongolia Try-2025” tour.
A total of 38 people, including 18 people with disabilities from the capital,
rural areas, and Japan, as well as 20 volunteers are participating in the advocacy
campaign. The 12-day campaign aims to raise awareness and advocate for the
needs of people with disabilities, including their right to live independently,
personal assistance services, an accessible environment, and inclusive
education.
Across the world, people with disabilities are making their voices heard, organizing various advocacy activities, and making change a reality. The “Universal Development” NGO has been organizing an advocacy campaign based on youth participation since 2015 to actively promote the needs of people with disabilities, mentoring, and role modeling.
