Cabinet discusses snow storm emergency over irregular meeting
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Cabinet called a special meeting on Friday regarding the emergency caused by snow storms. Head of the National Emergency Commission Ts.Oyunbaatar presented about current situation.
All traffic outside the city has been halted by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for uncertain period of time. The measure is being ensured by 20 traffic officers with 13 police cars in Ulaanbaatar.
Although, the NEMA in cooperation with media are putting all possible efforts to informing the public about the situations in which large numbers of livestock have been hit by snow slides and families have lost their houses to heavy storms, there are people who are ignoring the weight of this situation and would still travel, said Ts.Oyunbaatar.
All NEMA personnel in localities have been working with high level of readiness.
