The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the United Nations Country Team initiated a dialogue on 4 September to discuss how they can work together to strengthen their development support to the people of Mongolia. Second complex for children with special needs to be built

Book vending machines introduced
A new book sales service has been introduced. Specifically, Az Khur bookstore and Booklo online bookstore have installed book vending machines containing latest bestsellers at several locations recently. Inside two vending machines at the Dragon bus terminal, for example, there are around 250 books of 25 kinds varying from world classics, language learning books to children’s books.

Necessary equipment provided to hospitals

Sodbileg Naranbaatar, a 5th grader at Tugs Delgerekh Secondary School in Ulaanbaatar, writes fairy tales for children during his leisure time along the online learning. Today he handed over MNT 500,000 from profits of his books to the State Emergency Commission.

ADB grant to boost Mongolia's medical response to COVID-19 threat
 The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a further grant to Mongolia of $1.5 million from the Asia Pacific Disaster Response Fund (APDRF) to boost medical responses to the threat posed by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. The financial assistance is sourced from the Government of Japan’s contribution to APDRF.
