Equipment donated to Mongolian Association of Disabled People
Representative of the Taipei Trade and Economic Representative Office in Ulaanbaatar Huang Kuo-Jung presented a computer, projector, projector screen and wireless speakers to the Mongolian Association of Disabled People on July 17.
Friendship Medal presented to U.S. Consul
On July 18, Chief of Office of the President of Mongolia Z.Enkhbold awarded the Friendship Medal, a high state prize of Mongolia, to Jason Spellberg, the outgoing Consular Section Chief at the U.S. Embassy in Mongolia.
Mongolia receives 247.3 thousand foreign tourists in the first half of 2019
In the first half of 2019, 2.8 million passengers (double counting) have crossed the border of Mongolia, increased by 55.5 thousand or 2.0 percent compared to the same period of previous year.
Registered unemployed decreased by 10 percent
At the end of June 2019, the Labor and Social Protection Services Agencies have registered 33.3 thousand job seekers, 69.1 percent of which were unemployed and remaining 30.9 percent were employed but looking for a new job.
Birth rate decreases in June
In the first half of 2019, 38.1 thousand mothers delivered 38.4 thousand babies (live births), increased by 29 mothers (0.1 percent) and 50 live births (0.1 percent) compared to the same period of previous year.
Mongolia welcomes children from flood-affected districts of Irkutsk
The second stage of the assistance campaign for the victims of the flood in Irkutsk region initiated by the United Alumni Council of Mongolia (UACM) is running successfully.

Conservation of Burkhan Khaldun discussed at World Heritage Committee session
The issue regarding conservation and protection of the ‘Great Burkhan Khaldun Mountain and its surrounding sacred landscape’ which was inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2015 was touched upon at the 43rd session of the World Heritage Committee held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan from June 30 to July 10.

UNFPA presents equipment worth MNT 45 million to Regional Diagnostic and Treatment Center
A workforce led by Head of UNFPA Office in Mongolia Kaori Ishikawa, project manager Dr. B.Tsendmaa, and specialist at Medical Assistance Department of the Ministry of Health B.Tsevelmee worked in Orkhon aimag to evaluate the implementation of the project, ‘Introducing new technologies in management of mother and child health care’, being implemented in Mongolia since 2007. MNT 358 million has been invested in Orkhon aimag in the framework of the project so far.

On July 16, Minister of Finance of Mongolia Ch.Khurelbaatar presented Mongolia’s Voluntary National Review on the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the High-Level Political Forum on the Sustainable Development Goals (HLPF) taking place in New York between July 9 and 18.

Auto Recycling Center to be built in Nalaikh
South Korea invested Mongol Auto Recycle Park LLC is to establish an auto recycling center at the Nalaikh Industrial and Technology Park of Building Materials. The center's construction will be commenced in September 2019 and expected to be completed within first quarter of 2020.
