Revised Law on Courts aims to ensure fair judicial system
On January 15, State Great Khural, Mongolian parliament, adopted the revised Law on Courts at its plenary session. 50 members out of 52 parliament members present at the session voted in favor of approving the revised bill, which was submitted by the government in April 2020.

At the Standing Committee meeting on State Structures held on January 12th, the first discussion on amendments to the Law on Public Service submitted together with the Law on Labor was conducted and agreed to introduce the meeting summary at the Standing Committee on Social Policy. Parliament’s last session of 2020 wraps up
The Parliament’s last session of 2020 wrapped up. At the meeting, amendments were made to the Law on Anti-Corruption, the Law on Disaster Protection, the Law on Penalties and Exemption for Social Insurance Contributors, and the Law on Prevention and Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic and Reducing the Adverse Effects on Society and Economy (COVID-19 Mitigation Law) approved.

Law on Presidential elections adopted
On December 24, Mongolian Parliament – State Great Khural approved the Law on Presidential Election as it has been decided to have separate pieces of legislations for Presidential, Parliamentarian and local khural elections instead of previous practice of a single and unified Election Law for all types of elections in order to better regulate them.
