Government to bear expenses of Tavan Tolgoi Power Plant project
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At its regular weekly meeting held today, the cabinet decided to build 450 MW Tavan Tolgoi Power Plant (TTPP) in Umnugobi aimag between 2020 and 2024, based on a ready-made feasibility study of 2013, analyses on its water and coal supply and infrastructure facilities, and environment assessments, without changing its current location in the Tavan Tolgoi coal mining area.
Japanese Ambassador thanked MIAT

Government’s health-related spending reaches MNT 37.6 billion

Since the government of Mongolia started taking actions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the country on January 30, the total spending for the health industry reached MNT 37.6 billion, introduced during the press conference of March 27, Friday, where the Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh announced coronavirus economic rescue measures.
China donates humanitarian aid to Mongolia to fight coronavirus
On March 28, China contributed humanitarian assistance worth 830 thousand Yuans to Mongolia for its effort to combat the Covid-19. The assistance consists of medical items, including 5000 rapid test kits to detect the novel coronavirus, 500,000 disposable face masks, as well as disposable protective overalls and gloves.
