Ulaanbaatar, July 8, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Ulaanbaatar is once again showcasing the richness of Mongolia’s intangible cultural heritage through its 19th annual festival “Deeltei Mongol” dedicated to promoting traditional customs, Mongolian national dress-Deel, ethnic costumes, and accessories, and passing down the culture and traditions to the younger generation. The event also aims to elevate the country’s international profile by positioning it as a cultural tourism destination.
This year’s celebration brought
together over 7,000 participants dressed in traditional Mongolian dress,
creating a vibrant and colorful parade. In addition to residents from six
districts of the capital, the event welcomed around 60 representatives from
businesses and small and medium enterprises from all 21 provinces of Mongolia.
The festival not only highlights the
elegance and diversity of Mongolia’s national clothing but also serves as a
platform for cultural expression, community pride, and tourism development.
