Animal identification and registration project to run in Uvurkhangai aimag

No meat exports and imports during harvest to ensure stable food supply
This year, a total of 361 thousand ha of land was sown, according to Ch.Ulaan, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry. Crop harvests in Bulgan, Khuvsgul, Orkhon, Arkhangai and Selenge aimags is predicted to be normal. However, in some regions, including Tuv, Darkhan-Uul, Dornod, Khentii, Uvurkhangai and Uvs aimags and northern part Selenge aimag, harvests are likely to decline due to droughts and overheating.

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The National Statistical Office of Mongolia (NSO Mongolia) released a report on the social and economic situation of Mongolia in the first seven months of 2019. The total equilibrated revenue and grants of the General government budget amounted to MNT 6.0 trillion and total expenditure and net lending amounted to MNT 5.5 trillion, resulting in a surplus of MNT 535.3 billion in the equilibrated balance.

540-family apartment planned for Dornogobi’s oil refinery workers
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On August 14, a ceremony to lay foundation of a 540-family apartment complex for employees of a new oil refinery under construction in Altanshiree soum of Dornogobi aimag was held in Sainshand city of Dornogobi. Foreign specialists working to build and assemble the oil refinery’s infrastructure facilities and equipment will stay at the apartment, which will later be used as an apartment for local employees.

Tavantolgoi-Zuunbayan railway construction goes smoothly

Last weekend, President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga worked in Dornogobi to get acquainted with the development works of Tavantolgoi-Zuunbayarn railroad, being built in Mandakh soum of the aimag. As reflected in a document “State Policy on Railway”, a 414.6 km long road from Tavantolgoi coal mine in Tsogttsegtsii soum of Umnugobi aimag to Zuunbayan, Dornogobi aimag is presently under construction.

New Sainshand-Altanshiree rail carries first passengers
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. It has been recently reported that a construction of railroad between Sainshand city of Dornogobi aimag and Altanshiree soum has completed. Last weekend, the first passenger train ran on the newly-commissioned 27,7 km long railway. The railroad was built to reach Altanshiree soum, where the first oil refinery of Mongolia with a capacity of 1.5 million tons per year is currently being developed.
