AmCham monthly meeting hosts Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry
The American Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia (AmCham) held its April Monthly Meeting on April 15 at Shangri-la Hotel, hosting Sumiyabazar Dolgorsuren, Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry.
Tax revenue increases by 21.8 percent in the first quarter
In the first quarter of 2019, total equilibrated revenue and grants of the General Government Budget amounted to MNT 2163.4 billion and total expenditure and net lending amounted to MNT 1969.1 billion, resulting a surplus of MNT 194.3 billion in the equilibrated balance.
Survived offspring increase by 1.8 million heads compared with previous year
In the first quarter of 2019, from expected 29.8 million of female breeding livestock, 6.2 million (20.8 percent) of female breeding livestock bred offspring at national level, of which, 24.3 percent were ewes, 21.0 percent were female goats, 12.0 percent were female camels, 5.3 percent were cows and 1.5 percent were mares.
Gross industrial output reaches MNT1.3 trillion in March
In the first quarter of 2019, the gross industrial output reached MNT 3.8 trillion, showing an increase of MNT 572.3 billion (17.5 percent) from the same period of the previous year.
Third phase of ‘Sustainable Agriculture’ project implements
The third phase of the German-Mongolian cooperation project, ‘Sustainable Agriculture’, is currently being implemented since January 2019. The first meeting of the project administration committee took place in Ulaanbaatar on April 12.
National Farmers Conference takes place
The National Farmers Conference took place on April 10. This year’s conference is special for coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the farming sector having become a science-based independent sector. Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Ch.Ulaan, Deputy Minister J.Saule as well as the governing bodies of 21 aimags, experts and farmers attended the conference.

Foreign trade had profit of USD 485.9 million in the first three months
Mongolia’s total foreign trade turnover reached USD 3.06 billion in the first three months of 2019, showing an increase of 17 percent or USD 444.5 million compared to the same period of previous month.
