Minister of Labor and Social Protection A.Ariunzaya had a meeting with United Nations Resident Coordinator Tapan Mishra to discuss Mongolia’s accession to the UN partnership, Generation Unlimited.
“Mongolia officially reopens its borders”
At the cabinet’s meeting dated June 1, it was informed that Mongolia officials opened its borders starting from June 1. This will allow Mongolian citizens to travel to more than 10 countries whose borders are currently open to foreign passengers, including Turkey, U.S., United Arab Emirates, Greece, Thailand, Indonesia, Brazil, Egypt and India.

Today marks Children’s Day in Mongolia
The number of children in Mongolia is currently at 1.2 million, making up 35.4 percent of the country’s total population. In 2020, there were 77,716 new born children at the national level.
COVID-19: 790 new cases reported, total reaches 59,229

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) today, May 28, approved a loan package of USD 19 million for Mongolia to purchase safe and effective vaccines against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
