Ambassador of India visits national gas distribution company

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Mongolia M.P. Singh became acquainted with the operations of national gas distribution company ‘Dashvaanjil’ and exchanged views on cooperation. 

The Oil Refinery, which is being constructed with the support of India, will be commissioned in 2025. In this regard, during the meeting it was noted that the national company ‘Dashvaanjil’ is possible to participate in gas distribution activities. The company is a pioneer in the gas sector in Mongolia and now operating activities with 65 branches in 21 aimags. Therefore, it was discussed that in the near future the company will be able to distribute not only gas, but also diesel fuel and gasoline.


The Ambassador informed the first phase of the oil refinery construction is progressing at 65 percent and bids for 2nd and 3rd phase projects have been announced, as well as negotiations for 4th phase have commenced.



“Our company has introduced the international ISO standard in the plant. We are working to develop our gas supply system,” said N. Baatarjav, General Director of Dashvaanjil.


The company, founded in 1992, has more than 600 employees. Since its establishment, the company introduced the use of liquefied natural gas, which is an environmentally friendly fuel, distributing to households, enterprises and service centers.
