Asian Beach Games 2026 Open

Ulaanbaatar, April 24, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The 6th Asian Beach Games, organized under the auspices of the Olympic Council of Asia, officially opened on April 22 in a park in Sanya, Hainan Province, People’s Republic of China.
Around 1,800 athletes from 45 countries are competing in 62 events across 14 sports. Mongolia is represented by more than 50 athletes competing in eight sports. At the opening ceremony, the Mongolian flag bearers were International Master of Sports Khandsuren Gantogtokh and national handball team athlete Lkhagvatsend G.
The Asian Beach Games were previously held in Haiyang in 2012 and in Da Nang in 2016. After a 10-year hiatus due to various reasons, the Games are being hosted in China for the second time.
