Participation of people with disabilities to be supported in all respects

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection will cooperate with NGOs that operate in the area of protecting the rights of people with disabilities to improve the implementation of government policies and laws on the rights, participation, development, and protection of people with disabilities, support their employment opportunities and ensure equal rights to participate in social relations.
A memorandum on
cooperation was signed between Head of the Sub-council for ensuring the rights of
people with disabilities and State Secretary of the Ministry of Labor
and Social Protection G.Unurbayar and Coordinator of the Human Rights Committee of the People with Disabilities M.
Bayasgalan.
Within the scope of the memorandum, the parties will
jointly cooperate with proposals in the revised draft of the Law on Social
Welfare by participating in the working group on the issue of increasing
welfare pensions for people with disabilities who need constant care,
adequately determining the types of services to combine some discounts and
assistance.
The State Secretary of the
Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, G. Unurbayar, said, “We have been
listening to your voices and opinions when making any policies and decisions to
protect the rights of people with
disabilities.
Furthermore, we will keep paying attention to solve the issues and improve
mutual coordination.”
