Model training facility for occupational safety training established

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On September 3, a model training facility for occupational safety was opened in Mongolia for the very first time in the framework of the project, ‘Strengthening the Capacity for Occupational Safety Management in the Construction Sector’.


The project is being implemented by the governments of Mongolia and Japan in aims of reducing occupational accidents in the construction sector from 2017 to 2021.



The model facility was established in the framework of the project being implemented by JICA in cooperation with the Ministry of Construction and Urban Development, the Construction Development Center, and the Specialized Inspection Agency.


Located on the 5th floor of the Construction Development Center, the facility is equipped for conducting training and exercise for occupational safety and first aid, with the accessibility of height safety equipment, ladders and platforms, DVD lessons, and automated external defibrillator (AED).



19 types of equipment such as platform, AED, safety belt, and monitor are being provided by JICA. 



Deputy Minister of Construction and Urban Development E.Zolboo, Chief Representative at JICA Mongolia Office Tamura Eriko, and other corresponding officials attended the opening ceremony.
