Mongolia and Italy to Cooperate under Mongolia’s “White Gold” National Movement

Ulaanbaatar, May 29, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Economic Policy Advisor to the President of Mongolia Davaadalai Batsuuri met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Mongolia Giovanna Piccarreta to discuss cooperation under the “White Gold” National Movement initiated by the President of Mongolia.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on attracting investment from Italy, which leads the world in the wool, cashmere, and leather industries, to Mongolia’s light industries, and on collaborating to improve Mongolia’s processing capabilities, provide equipment, prepare human resources, organize training, expand market share, and boost exports.
The two sides agreed to connect Mongolian manufacturers with major Italian brands, provide support for establishing agreements, and regularly include Mongolian producers in fashion shows hosted in Italy.
