Mongolian Team Ranked Sixth at Fire and Rescue Sport World Championship

Ulaanbaatar, November 3, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The XX World Championship among men and the XI World Championship among Women in fire and rescue sport took place from October 26 to November 1, 2025, in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

Of the participating teams from 14 countries, including Mongolia, the Russian Federation, the Federal Republic of Germany, and the Republic of Austria, the national team from Mongolia placed sixth in the team standings. The contestants competed in the following four categories: the attack stage, the 100-meter obstacle course, the 4×100 fire relay race, and combat deployment.

 

This year’s tournament is significant for Mongolia, as it marks Mongolia’s first participation in the women’s category. Captain E. Bulgan, Senior State Inspector for Disaster Protection Control at the Capital City’s Sukhbaatar District Emergency Management Department, along with athlete and squad leader G. Anuujin from Class 120, set new national records in the attack stage and the 100-meter obstacle course tournaments.

 

The Mongolian national team was led by Colonel P. Soronzonbold, Head of the Firefighting Department of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and coached by Chief Coach S. Battumur, President of the Firefighting Technical Sports Association and Reserve Colonel. The team included personnel from the Emergency Management Departments of the Capital City, Darkhan-Uul, Selenge, Dundgobi, Uvs, and Khentii aimags.
