Government Forms a Task Force to Improve Housing Access for Teachers and Doctors

Ulaanbaatar, October 30, 2025 /MONTSAME/. During its regular session on October 15, 2025, the Cabinet of Mongolia heard a presentation on the progress of housing construction projects underway in Ulaanbaatar, which are scheduled for completion between 2025 and 2028.


Under the project financed by the Asian Development Bank, two apartment buildings with 110 housing units each, located in Bayankhoshuu and Sharkhad, are scheduled to be commissioned this year. Over the next three years, a total of 12,619 housing units will be completed in Selbe, Bayangoliin am, Khanyn Material, and other areas.


In line with the Government’s objective to enhance housing supply, an expanded working group has been established to study and propose measures for improving housing accessibility for teachers and doctors. Minister of Urban Development, Construction, and Housing, Bat-Amgalan Enkhtaivan, will lead the group.


The working group comprises representatives from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Urban Development, Construction, and Housing, as well as the Governor's Office of the Capital City of Ulaanbaatar.
