Emergency vehicles presented to fire fighting and rescue units of the capital city

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On September 2, Acting Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar J.Batbayasgalan presented three fully equipped emergency vehicles to emergency officials.

 

With investment from the capital city budget, a wildland fire vehicle was presented to the 74th fire fighting and rescue unit of the Emergency Department of Sukhbaatar district, while an emergency vehicle and an ambulance were presented to the 105th rescue unit of the capital city.

 

During the ceremony, Acting Governor J.Batbayasgalan said, “This year, 160 new vehicles have been provided for health and police departments. We are presenting a wildland fire vehicle to the 74th fire fighting unit due to the fire threat near summer houses and the ger district in the area. Furthermore, a vehicle with equipment for rescue has been presented to the unit. The capital city is making investments in emergency units and departments in order to create the conditions for the officials to urgently rescue and protect our citizens’ lives and assets.”

 

Step-by-step measures are being implemented by the capital city authority on the provision of necessary equipment for emergency and fire fighting units, noted the officials. In the last two years, a total of 20 vehicles, equipment, 100 fire extinguishers, and rescue equipment sets have been provided for emergency officials.
