Experts from 23 Countries Compete in Asia-Pacific CyberDrill

/MONTSAME/. The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and
Communication (MDDIC), in collaboration with the International Telecommunication
Union (ITU), is organizing the 2025 ITU Regional Asia-Pacific CyberDrill from September
2 to 5, 2025, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
More than 200 representatives from
26 countries across the Asia-Pacific region are participating in the event.
During today’s drill, cybersecurity professionals from 23 countries, organized
into 15 teams, engaged in realistic simulations focused on server recovery,
cyberattack detection, and preventive measures, exchanging experiences and best
practices. Sixteen cybersecurity experts from Mongolia are actively
participating as part of the national teams, demonstrating their skills at an
international level. The top-performing teams of this four-day event will be
announced on September 5, 2025.
Hosting the 2025 ITU Regional Asia-Pacific CyberDrill in Mongolia provides a valuable platform for regional dialogue on emerging cybersecurity trends, response strategies, and innovative protection solutions. It enhances the ability to detect and mitigate cyber threats and violations, and contributes to the improvement of policy and management frameworks. Furthermore, this event plays a key role in showcasing Mongolia’s commitment to ensuring cybersecurity and promoting the country on the international stage.
