Meet the Mongolian Judokas Competing in the Qazaqstan Barysy Grand Slam 2025

Ulaanbaatar, May 6, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Qazaqstan Barysy Grand Slam, the sixth of the 2025 Grand Slam series hosted by the International Judo Federation (IJF), is set to begin on May 9, 2025, in Astana, the capital city of the Republic of Kazakhstan.


Over 390 judokas from 47 countries plan to participate in the Qazaqstan Barysy Grand Slam. Mongolia’s team of 11 male and 11 female judokas led by Coaches Boldbaatar Chimed-Yondon and Bundmaa Munkhbaatar will be vying to win the Grand Slam.

The Qazaqstan Barysy Grand Slam 2025 holds pivotal importance as it precedes the 2025 World Judo Championships, scheduled to begin on June 13, 2025, in Budapest, Hungary. Serving as a crucial preparatory event, it provides judokas with an opportunity to test their skills ahead of the World Championships.
