Ambassador of French visits MNOC

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Ambassador of the French
Republic to Mongolia Sébastien Surun and First Counselor Julien Paupert visited
the Mongolian National Olympic Committee /MNOC/ for business talks on March 9.
Present at the meeting were acting President of the Mongolian
National Olympic Committee Ch.Naranbaatar, First Vice-President B.Battushig and
Secretary General E.Badar-Uugan.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will be held in
Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024. During the meeting,
Ambassador S.Surun expressed full support for the participation of Mongolian athletes
in the ‘Paris 2024’ Olympic Games. Also, he expressed his readiness
to cooperate in many aspects, such as organizing a joint training of athletes
in France, issuing a long-term visa, and establishing ties between cities and
provinces of the two countries.
The MNOC proposed to study from experiences of French
athletes specialized in the sports including rugby, badminton and break
dancing, while France side expressed an interest to organize a joint training
in freestyle wrestling, boxing and judo which are highly developed in Mongolia.
First Vice-President of the MNOC B.Battushig
presented to the Ambassador the ‘Mongolian House’ project aimed at
promoting Mongolia to the world, and expressed its request to jointly implement
the project during the Paris Olympics.
