2,740 new cases of COVID-19 reported

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. It was reported during today’s press briefing of the Ministry of Health that 2,740 new coronavirus cases were detected in the past 24 hours after tests were carried out at PCR laboratories across the country. 

 

In specific, 527 new cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar city with 2,213 cases in rural regions.

 

As a result, the nationwide infection tally is now 213,820. In the last 24 hours, 2,287 coronavirus patients were recovered and discharged from hospital. The Ministry also reported six new COVID-19 related deaths, raising the country's death toll to 937. 

As of August 26, a total of 2,089,841 people have received the second dose of vaccines against COVID-19, equal to 64.2 percent of the total population of Mongolia.
