Hack TVET and Labor Market-Data Journalism Hackathon

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Twenty-six diverse team of journalist, data analyst, designer and content creators, total of 98 individuals participated in the online ‘HACK TVET AND LABOUR MARKET’ DATA Journalism Hackathon. Today is the last day of 72 hours ongoing Hackathon. Teams dig deeper into open source data available on the labour market and TVET sector – and create interactive, multimedia content to promote TVET sector to public and target groups such as parents, teacher, and decision makers.


Teams receive mentoring sessions from TVET sector professionals: Experts from Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, TVET institutions, GIZ implemented ‘Cooperative Technical and Vocational Education and Training’ /cTVET/ project, Private sector as well as Data analyst and Media professional to bring their idea into content.




Ten teams were selected to the second round to present their final products today. We are looking forward to see the result products. This online hackathon is organized by MCIR NGO and supported by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and cTVET project.


Commissioned by the BMZ, the cTVET project is funded by the Governments of Germany, Australia, Korea and being implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in close partnership with Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
