Mongolia, India to expand partnership in the cultural sector

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On April 8, Minister of Culture Ch.Nomin received Ambassador of the Republic of India to Mongolia M.P.Singh to exchange views on cooperation in the culture and arts sector.
In its framework, the Indian Ambassador expressed commitment to collaborate for works including the digitization of the Tibetan and Mongolian books and sutras being kept at the National Library of Mongolia and the Gandantegchinlen Monastery, the construction of a library near the monastery, and in the renovation of the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum.
Furthermore, in correlation with the announcement of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) scholarship, the Minister expressed her wish to involve students and youth in the program.
