Deputy Governor receives exchange students

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ulaanbaatar city cooperates, shares experience and carries out numerous activities with over 40 cities which it has sister-city and friendly relations. One of the activities is student exchange program, which has been implemented by the City Governor's Office over the past decade. This year's program is being carried out on July 23-30.
On July 25, Deputy Governor of Ulaanbaatar city J.Batbayasgalan received a delegation of teachers and students from the cities that has friendly relations with Ulaanbaatar.
A total of 42 delegates including 13 from Hohhot city of the People’s Republic of China, 16 from Namyangju city of the Republic of Korea and 13 from Bangkok city of the Kingdom of Thailand have arrived in Ulaanbaatar.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr J.Batbayasgalan said "We are receiving 42 delegates from three cities of three countries and organizing a major event. It’s my pleasure to say this event is creating an opportunity for the children from different countries with different languages and cultures to get familiar with Mongolia, make friends and learn history, culture and customs of one another apart from promoting Mongolia’s history, culture and customs in the world.
Three manly games, Mongolian cuisine, national art performances are the main events of this year’s program.
Additionally, children of Ulaanbaatar will visit Irkutsk and Hohhot in mid-August, Namyangju in November, and Bangkok in January, 2019. City authorities are content that every child involved in the program comes back home with very good impression. He also emphasized Ulaanbaatar city will further expand the program.
